The Peekskill Education Foundation (PEF)

will hold our second annual

Creating a Caring Community Dinner

Saturday, November 1, 2008,

at Colonial Terrace in Cortlandt Manor, New York.

The PEF will present the Caring Community Institution Award to Entergy for its commitment and generosity to the students of the Peekskill City School District. We will present the Caring Community Citizen Award to Marc and Livia Straus, founders of the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, in recognition of their support of the PEF and the schoolchildren of Peekskill.

Proceeds from the event will help fulfill the PEF’s mission, which is to enrich and expand the educational experiences and opportunities of all students within the Peekskill City School District.

Note that the deadline has been extended for grant submissions

Grants are Due: Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 5:00 pm. This grant round is for projects beginning July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. Grant announcements will be made during the week of June 23rd.

Also note that grants may be mailed to the PEF (PO Box 489, Peekskill, NY), submitted to the Superintendent's office or, new for this round, emailed directly to the PEF info@peekskilleducationfoundation.org

The grant can be completed directly in Microsoft Word. If you have any problems with the application or questions about the grant, you may contact the PEF by email at: info@peekskilleducationfoundation.org.
